17 MarDr Christopher Berry, a lecturer in the School of Physics and Astronomy and a research professor at Northwestern University’s CIERA (Center for Interdisciplinary Exploration and Research in Astrophysics), has been named as this year’s recipient of a Young Scientist Prize from the International Union of Pure and Applied Physics (IUPAP).
17 MarA new study by the international network Women In Supramolecular Chemistry (WISC) has highlighted the equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) issues faced by women and marginalised groups working within that field.The study was led by Dr Jennifer Leigh and Dr Jennifer Hiscock of the University of Kent, alongside WISC’s wider team of international researchers, including Dr Emily Draper of the University of Glasgow.

Dr Luke Daly, from the School of Geographical and Earth Sciences, was part of the international collaboration which tracked the entry of a fireball over Britain on Sunday 28 February.
